Donald "Chucky" Wood
Corpus Christi, TX - Donald "Chucky" Wood, age 62, entered into rest October 1st.
Donald was born in Aiken, South Carolina, and made the CSRA his home until 2010 when he moved to Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was the son of the late Joseph William Wood and the late Lucinda "Cindy" Wood.
Donald worked many years making cabinets for Cowart Cabinets and B & B Woodworks.
He enjoyed using his carpentry skills, listening to music, and watching sports.
He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins football team.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph "Buck" Wood Jr (Lorena) of Trenton and Roy Wood (Lynn) of Michigan.
He is survived by his children: Jennifer Wood Barton (Joshua) of Aiken and Kirk Allen Wood (Britney) of Corpus Christi, Texas, two sisters and one brother in Aiken: Felicia Mayle (Steven), Angela Leaphart (Brian) and Anthony Leaphart (Crystal).
Donald also took pride in his four grandchildren: Kohl Fulmer, Kirbie Fulmer, Kopelyn Barton, all of Aiken, and Kaiden Wood of Corpus Christi, Texas.
There will be no public memorial so the family suggests the American Heart Association for anyone wishing to make a donation in his honor.

I enjoyed the time that I had with you . Our silly little conversations. I still remember you with that long hair flipping it telling me you were Dusty Rhodes yea baby..... you was the funniest guy always had something to Crack me up about. I remember when you bought your new Thunderbird Car you was so happy going and showing everyone. Donald I will miss you and will never forget you. My heart breaks for this dear family. If I can do anything or you need to talk just call me. So sorry for your loss.

When my dad came to live with us. Kohl sure enjoyed their long talks. Kirbie loved to pull pranks on him. I'm so happy they had that time together. It makes me sad Kopelyn will never get to meet her grandpa. He was really such a cool person!
