Daniel Free Obituary
BATH, SC - Mr. Daniel C. Free, 86, husband of the late Hazel Yonce Free, entered into rest suddenly on, Monday, January 18th, 2016.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late Willie B. and Sa-Fronia Walker Free. After the closing of Clearwater Finishing Plant, he went to work for Amoco Plastics, where he retired. Not wanting to sit around the house, he want to work on a part-time basis with the Aiken County Landfill located on Huber Clay Rd. A Korean War Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Free enjoyed fishing and gardening. More than anything however, he enjoyed helping folks.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Gail Holley and her husband, Wayne, Graniteville, SC, O'neal Free, Burnettown, SC and Eugene Free and his wife, Charlene, Langley, SC; living siblings, Billy Free and his wife, Gloria, North Augusta, SC and Retta Anderson, Bath, SC; siblings who have passed, Marie Mitchum, Sally Lowe, Lee C. "Coot" Free and J.E. Free.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 21st, 2016, at 3 o'clock at Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bath, SC, with Pastor Bill Branch officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
The family has asked that memorials be made to Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The family will greet friends on Thursday from 2 until 3 o'clock at BATH PENTECOSTAL HOLINESS CHURCH.
