Dale Moore Obituary

Mrs. Dale Johnson Moore, 74, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Tommy Moore for fifty-five years, her faithful partner and greatest companion in life.

The family will greet friends on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Christian Heritage Church, 285 Ascauga Lake Road, Graniteville, South Carolina, beginning at noon, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2 o'clock with Pastor Stephen Phillips officiating. Interment will be private.

Dale was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Eddie and Doris Williams Johnson, and her brother, Dickie Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Tommy; her sons and daughters-in-law, Baylen and Donna Moore, and Brent and Kristi Moore; her brother, Alvin Johnson; her beloved cousin, Becky Watts, and her treasured grandchildren, Luke, Rhett, Spencer, Bennett, Grayson and Lindsey, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, Dale was a devoted member of Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville, South Carolina. Her life was a reflection of her deep faith and her belief that every child is a gift from God, a sentiment beautifully captured on a plaque at Helping Hands in Aiken. She didn't just speak those words; she lived them daily, pouring her heart into being a loving and supportive Mama and Grandma.

Dale was a constant and cheerful presence in her community, especially through her involvement with Valley Recreation, where she generously gave her time and could always be found on the sidelines, enthusiastically cheering on her boys and so many others.

She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and joyful spirit. Dale had a gift for bringing smiles to those around her. Her humor was effortless, and her laughter unforgettable. She was also lovingly known for running just a little late, a trait her family fondly joked about, even suggesting that those attending her service arrive five minutes late in her honor.

Quiet in nature but abundant in generosity, Dale gave selflessly and loved deeply. She embodied the Fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, and self-control and her life stands as a gentle, powerful testimony to those virtues.

In lieu of food or flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to Helping Hands of Aiken, P.O. Box 503, Aiken, South Carolina 29802, in honor of Dale's compassionate heart and lifelong care for others

Earlier today

Dale was a very special lady. She had an electric smile and impish sense of humor. On first meeting her, she would make anyone feel as if she had known them for a very long time. For those who knew her, our hearts are heavy but we know she has reached the reward she so richly deserves. Rest in peace.

Earlier today

Growing up across the street from the Moore Family, I have know this beautiful family most of my life. Dale always treated me like one of her own children, supporting me and taking me into their home. She loved and brought out the God Given Talent that I was blessed. Tommy got out in the yard and involved himself with all of the neighborhood kids, Playing basket ball, Throwing Base Balls, and having Firework wars. Dale was not far behind with Sweet tea and Sandwiches and snacks. Always making sure Tommy was playing fare! She was an Angel! I have seen her disappointed, but never Mad! I love The Moore Family and so very sorry to hear of this Loss. Many Prayers, and much love Tommy, Baylen, Brent!!!
