Claude Parrott Obituary

North Augusta, SC – Mr. Claude C. Parrott, Jr., 84, entered into rest March 17, 2026, at his home. Memorial Services will be conducted Monday morning, March 23rd, at 11 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Kiser officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11 o'clock. A private interment will be conducted at a later date.

Claude was born on December 26, 1941, to the late Claude C. Parrott and Lou Ada Jayroe Parrott. Raised in Georgetown, SC, he made North Augusta is home in 1977. Claude was a U.S. Navy veteran and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta. He retired as a Construction Superintendent at the Savannah River Site with 20 years of service. Claude lived a simple life and enjoyed crossword puzzles, woodworking and building furniture. He was a model train enthusiast and collected Lionel model trains. However, his greatest joy in life was his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his sister, Libby Blackburn.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Dianna Gibson Parrott; his children, Robbie Parrott (Jane), and Greg Parrott (Dawn); his brother, Richard Parrott (Marsha); his grandchildren, Thomas Parrott, Victoria Parrott and Jacob Parrott.
