Charles Baxter Obituary

Mr. Charles Allen Baxter Jr, 78, of Augusta, Ga, entered into rest on Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was born in Augusta to the late Charles Allen Baxter Sr and Etta Belle White Baxter.
He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Clearwater, SC. He was an auto & gun enthusiast. He was also an avid runner in his younger years training with the Augusta Running Club, having run in multiple marathons. He was a pilot certified to fly 3 different types of airplanes. He was also the proud owner & operator of Augusta Frame Service for over 47 years before retiring. He will be remembered by his friends and family as a hardworking man of personality, intelligence, character, and faith. He was a master storyteller and lived life through adventure in planes, all types of cars, boats, & motorcycles. He was a romantic at heart and found the beauty in God's landscapes & sunsets especially along the Savannah River where he called home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a sincere, caring & dedicated friend & mentor.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years to Mrs. Sylvia Lynne Peeples Baxter. He was a proud father to his daughters, April Baxter, of Augusta, GA and Tracey Everett, of Martinez, GA; Including his stepchildren, Caprice Symonds, of Greenville, SC, and Trevor Loper (Bridget), of North Augusta, SC. He was the proud grandfather of Kerry Munoz, Emily Munoz, and Shelby Bennett, and proud great-grandfather to Stella Schuler.
