Christine Hollingsworth Obituary

Rock Hill, SC – Christine Lynn Hollingsworth, 57, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 at Atrium Health – Pineville. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late John O'Neill and the late June Baker O'Neill.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Lancaster Memorial Park, 1389 Memorial Park Road, Lancaster, SC with Reverend Scott Demers officiating.

Christine was a loving mother, wife and friend with solid character, high integrity, and a consistent love for God. She worked with South Carolina Medicaid, helping place people in long term care facilities and also helping folks get established with Medicaid. Christine loved her cats, but more than anything else, she loved being a mother, not only to her own children, but also to Mitchell's children. That role spilled over into becoming a mother figure and role model to many others, including numerous neighborhood children. She was a member of Lesslie Church of God.

Christine is survived by her husband, Mitchell Hollingsworth; her children, David Jordan (Kim), Kevin Jordan, Paul Hollingsworth, Joshua Hollingsworth, and Grace Hollingsworth; and her two sisters, Sharon Letizia (Mike) and Bonnie Peavy (Mike).
