Harold Kirchner Obituary

Harold D. Kirchner age 95, of Cridersville passed away March 11, 2025 at Otterbein-Cridersville surrounded by his family. He was born June 30, 1929 in Lima to the late Albert 'Nick' and Frances Rae (Crawford) Kirchner. He married Kathryn J. Curry February 6, 1953 and she preceded him in death December 8, 2003.

Harold had served in the U S Marine Corps during Korea. He came home and opened Brown Supply Company with his best friend in 1955. He served as owner and General Manager for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and woodworking. He was an Ohio State football fan.

Survivors include a son: Steve Kirchner of Post Falls, Idaho, daughter Sally (Brian) Longworth of Cridersville; grandchildren: Nathan Cummins, Matthew Cummins, Jamie (Ty Kuhns) Reynolds, Traci Kirchner and Jesse Kirchner; great grandchildren: Devin (Lexi Fisher) Kuhns, Devin Reynolds, Ella Kuhns, Ethan Reynolds, Julianna Hernandez, Sabrina Tandy, and Kaitlyn Kuhns; a great granddaughter Ellie Mae Kuhns.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home and burial will follow in Shawnee Cemetery with military rites provided by V.F. W. Post 8445.
