Timothy McCann Obituary

Timothy K. McCann 1953 - 2020
UTICA - Timothy K. McCann, 67, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at his home. Death was due to a COVID related illness.
He was born in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Henry J. and Marie (Maguire) McCann.
Timothy was employed for over 20 years at the House of the Good Shepherd where he was employed as a child care worker. In later years, he was employed as a driver with DHL International and Lincare. In his retirement, he worked part-time for Chester's Flower Shop.
He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School where he was recently honored as a member of the school's undefeated 1969 Football Team. After graduation, he played two years as a member of the Utica Mustangs.
A life-long resident of the Utica area, Tim was a communicant at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. He was also a member of the All-American Fitness Center, a frequent participant in the Boilermaker Road Race and could frequently be seen at local Irish festivals, where he celebrated his Irish heritage. But closest to his heart and his greatest pride was his family who remember him for his generosity and humor and the loving care he showed his parents in their later years.
Timothy is survived by his brothers, Patrick (Brenda) McCann, Middleville, Michael (Janet) McCann, Fayetteville, Brian (Susan) McCann, Glenville; sisters, Maureen (Timothy) Fletcher, Springfield, VA, Mary (Russell) Wenner, Windsor, CT and Ellen (Scott) Leuthauser, Clinton; as well as twenty nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
There will be no calling hours due to the virus but the family will celebrate Tim's life privately.
Arrangements are under the direction of McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.

So sad to hear of Tim's untimely passing. I'll miss his smiles - always at the Irishfest - and bucketload of compliments. He made everyone he met feel beautiful and happier for knowing him.
