Susan Kay Goddard, age 83, of St Charles died peacefully after a lengthy illness on March 19, 2026.

Susan was born on October 6, 1942, in Orange, California. She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Randolph Goddard and her mother, Grayce Essingham Goddard. She is survived by her brother, Gerald Goddard (Carol Goddard); sister, Judith Goddard Kaster (Lee Kaster); nieces, Lee Ward, Sara Broeker, Dana Kaster Carlson, nephews Adam Kaster, and Ross Broeker; and dear friend, Adele Carey.

Susan graduated from Barnes Hospital School of Nursing in 1960 and went on to earn her BSN at St Louis University and an MBA from Maryville University. She was a nurse at St Louis Children's Hospital where she was the Director of Medical Inpatient Services, nurse and mentor.

After her retirement in 2000 she volunteered at The Crisis Nursery, Five Acres Animal Shelter, Oasis Tutoring, and Heartland Hospice. She was a devoted member of Trinity Episcopal Church in St Charles where she served in many leadership roles.

A celebration of her life will be held on April 25th at 11AM at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Charles.
