Toni Moffett Obituary

Toni Lea Moffett, of Wesley, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Monday, February 16, 2026. Toni was born on April 2, 1963 to Vada Joyce and Kenneth Ledbetter. She was 62 years old. Toni was raised as part of a big, loving family - all of whom were an important part of her life. She was a faithful wife, sweet Momma, devoted dog-Mom, and extravagant Nana.

On June 12, 1981, just two weeks out of high school, she married James Edwin (Jay) Moffett and they made their home on a farm along the Richland and Pigeon Creeks in Wesley. Together they had two sons, Eric and Andrew.

Toni was a devoted homemaker and worked in public service. After serving as a Deputy Treasurer for 11 years, she was elected Madison County Treasurer 5 times and retired in 2022. Toni worked hard in her life to make their family home a welcoming, loving, and grace-filled place. Through the years, she and Jay took in a number of family members and friends who needed somewhere safe and loving to stay.

Toni is preceded in death by her mother and father and her sister Cheryl Richardson. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jay Moffett, son Rev. Dr. Eric Moffett and wife Sherrill of Gatesville, Texas, son Andrew Moffett of Fayetteville, and granddaughter Madelynn Moffett of Gatesville, Texas.

She is also survived by her brother Rick Ledbetter and wife Pam, sister Debbie Nall and husband Greg, and sister Dana Jackson and husband Jimmy, all of Wesley. Many loving nieces, nephews, and friends celebrate her life and legacy as well.

The family will receive friends at a visitation on Thursday, February 19 from 5 to 7 PM at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville, Arkansas. Toni's life will be celebrated on Friday, February 20 at 10:00 AM in the chapel at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville, Arkansas. Burial will follow in the Wesley Cemetery.
