Stephen Littlefield Obituary

Reverend Stephen Bryan "Steve" Littlefield
HOUSTON, TX - Reverend Stephen Bryan "Steve" Littlefield, 57, loving husband of Mari Gwyn Littlefield passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Steve was born in Hopkinsville, KY to Wila Edith Turner Littlefield and the late Alex Thompson Littlefield. He was the Minister of Music for First Methodist Westchase Church of Houston.
In addition to his wife, Steve is survived by a son, Andrew Stephen Littlefield, Charleston, SC; daughter, Mari Alex Littlefield, Houston, TX; his mother, Wila Edith Turner Littlefield, Apollo Beach, FL and a brother, Larry (Martha) Littlefield, Savannah, TN.
Steve was known for his love of music, the Beatles, James Bond, and of course his wonderful sense of humor. A multi-instrumentalist, he particularly loved playing the electric bass guitar.
He was a devout servant of God, and was a non-confrontational and incredibly humble man. He made everyone feel that they mattered and were the most important people in his life.
He received his BA from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN.
He then attended Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. Steve completed the course work and was in the process of writing a dissertation for a doctoral degree in Worship Studies at the time of his death at Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Millbrook Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Pillow and the Rev. Dr. Phillip Dunn officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the choir and orchestra. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 4:30 PM. Interment will take place Thursday, March 12 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family, 12335 Shadowvista Dr., Houston, TX 77082.

My greatest memories of Millbrook Baptist were with Steve. I hate to think of this world without Steve in it. Stuart Prettel
