GRANITEVILLE, SC - Entered into rest on Monday, May 2, 2016, Mrs. Shirley Temple Cato, beloved wife of Mr. Ernest Cato for 58 years.
Mrs. Cato was born in Aiken, SC to the late Paul and Emmie Mays Temples. She was a retired lab tech from Glaxo Smith Kline with 15 years of service. She was a member of the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene and worked with the Biker Ministry. She loved working in the yard, loved going to the beach and reading.
Mrs. Cato was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Cato, of Graniteville, SC; three children, Gregg Cato
(Carmen) and Paula Cromer (Mark), both of North Augusta, SC and Shannon Jowers (Chris), Warrenville, SC; a sister, Linda Black (Jerry), of Clearwater, SC; six grandchildren: Paul Cromer (Melanie), Cole Cromer, Carlene Kelly (Casey), Julianne Cato, Carl Cato and Christopher Jowers; and two great-grandchildren: Chase Kelly and Adalyn Mae Cromer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 o'clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Kyle Poole, Wayne Cheselka and John Faircloth officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
Pallbearers will be Paul Cromer, Cole Cromer, Carl Cato, Christopher Jowers, Allen Black and Casey Kelly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, PO Box 645, Clearwater, SC 29822.
Friends may call on Thursday from 1 until the time of the service at Hatcher Funeral Home, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829.
