Shane Phillips Obituary
A lifelong area resident, Shane is the only son of Susan Trest Phillips and Brent Douglas Phillips. A graduate of South Aiken High School, he furthered his education by earning a degree in History from the University of South Carolina at Aiken.
Shane was the proud owner and operator of Aiken BBQ and Catering. He was known for his delicious food, especially his pork.
Shane was a member of both the Aiken Tennis Club and the Palmetto Golf Club.
Family was very important to Shane, and he spent as much time with them as possible. Nothing made him any happier, however, than time spent with his daughter, who is his pride and joy, Sarah Elizabeth Phillips.
A Celebration of Life Service at Palmetto Golf Club is scheduled for the spring of 2026.
Memorials in memory of Shane may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Aiken. (www.aikenpresbyterian.org)

Shane was the perfect nephew. He visited, called and texted to stay in touch with me. I always looked forward to these contacts. He was a bright light in my world. I am so blessed to have these sweet memories of him. Love and miss him dearly.

Sue, Brent & Sarah - I am so sorry for your loss. I went to Aiken High with Shane and will always remember his relaxed and effortlessly cool demeanor. When paired with his steady smile and quick laugh, Shane was genuinely easy, and always fun, to be around. He brightened the lives of all who knew him and will be missed by all.
