Robert Herring Obituary
AIKEN - ROBERT WAYNE HERRING, 61, beloved husband of Gayle Wright Herring, died suddenly, Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his residence.
A native of Dillon, SC, Robert was a son of Maxine Johnson Herring and the late Bobby Lee Herring. He moved to Aiken 35 years ago as a loan officer with TransSouth. He later worked at Shaw Industries and then as a security officer.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Gayle, include his mother, Maxine, Dillon, SC; a daughter, Kristen Herring, Anderson, SC; step-children Chaston Walden, Ashley Walden Campos (Joshua), all of Aiken; two grandchildren, Levi and Paisley Campos; brothers and sister, Steve Herring (Sarah), Aiken, Connie Robinson (Ricky), Royston, GA, Ronnie Prosser (Betty), Monroe, NC.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning, January 20th beginning at 10 o'clock at Redds Branch Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 11 o'clock with The Rev. Jason Redd officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Diabetes Assoc., (www.diabetes.org).
