Robert Boyd Obituary
Graniteville, SC - Boyd-Robert Boyd, Jr., age 89, of Graniteville, S.C., husband of the late Annelle Barnes Boyd and son of the late Robert Boyd, Sr. and the late Fannie Prescott Boyd, went from the loving arms of his daughter into the loving arms of his wife and Jesus at his residence on Saturday, May 13. 2017. Rob was a lifetime dedicated member of Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville. He was born in and raised in Graniteville, S.C.; a fact that he was extremely proud of. He loved taking short trips and going on long rides. He was a great guitar picker with an uncanny understanding of music. He is survived by a son, Roger O. (Deborah Jean) Boyd; a daughter, April (Brian)) Smith; five grandchildren, Deborah Anne (David) Brinkley, Robyn (Matt) Jenkins, Brianne Smith, Britney Smith, Bret Smith; four great grandchildren, Kailey Spence, Morgan Spence, Blake Jenkins, Riggins Smith; a very special sister, Doris Kneece and lots and lots of loved ones. A celebration of his life will be held at Christian Heritage Church on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Stephen Phillips, Rev. Jody Padgett and Rev. Jonathan Randall officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. The interment will follow the service at the Graniteville Cemetery. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street. Roger, Paddy and I are so sorry for your families loss. The only good is that he was with Aunt Annelle on Mother's Day this year. He will be with the Lord and her from now on and be without pain or heartache. My favorite memories are listening to him play the guitar. He was one of the best I've heard. I still remember when him and mom use to play together sometimes. God Bless you and your family during this time of grief.
