M. Preston Agee
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. M. Preston "Poppa" Agee, 86, who entered into rest February 16, 2015, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel, where Masonic Rites will be accorded. Rev Jim McCollough officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park with Veterans Honors.
Mr. Agee was a native of Augusta, having made North Augusta his home for the past 61 years. He retired from SCE&G and Plant Urquhart with over 30 years of service. Mr. Agee was a member of the Webb Masonic Lodge #166 F.&A.M. and the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G) of Augusta. Mr. Agee was a loving family man who enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and taking "adventures" with his family and friends. At the young age of 79 he rode his motorcycle across the United States. He was a devoted and loving caregiver to his wife Dot Agee, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Montie and Joy Agee, North Augusta, SC; two daughters, Becky Mariano, North Augusta, SC and Donna Rowe, Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Webb Masonic Lodge #166 F.&A.M. . Active Pallbearers will be Charles Abbott, Tony Mariano, Billy Agee, Rob Rowe, Chris Rowe and Preston Agee.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8.
