WARRENVILLE - Mr. Lewis D. Black, 86, of Warrenville, SC, beloved husband of sixty-six years to Annie Laura Padgett Black, entered into rest peacefully in the comfort of his home on Saturday, November 12, 2022. A lifelong area resident, he was a son of the late Robert T. and Annie Mae Creed Black. He was formerly a Printer at the Clearwater Finishing Plant and retired from Monte Sano. He was a longtime member of the Langley Church of God and was known for the delicious cakes that he made. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children and their spouses, Sandra and William J. Starnes, Salley, SC, Shirley and the late Danny Neal, Augusta, GA, Donna Beard, Warrenville, SC and Donald Lewis and Cindy Black, Aiken, SC; siblings and their spouses, James E. and Doris Black, Warrenville, SC, Gene and the late Mary Ann Black, North Augusta, SC , Annie Lou and the late Carlton Ashley, Langley, SC and the late Robert T. Black, Jr. (Myrtle), eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, beginning at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Edward Hardee will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be George Webb, James Padgett, Thad Ashley, Charles Adams, William Starnes and Brian Feagin.
