John Baxter Obituary
Aiken, SC - Mr. John Jefferson Baxter, 90, beloved husband of 31 years to Angelika Soking Baxter, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at his residence.
Born in New York City, NY, he was a son to the late William and Daisy Druett Baxter. John was a WWll veteran who served in the United States Marine Coprs. A few years ago, he was given the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC with other World War ll veterans on the Honor Flight to visit the WWll memorial. John was a graduate of the University of Virginia where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree. After graduating college, he went to work as a manager with Travelers Insurance company for 39 years. John enjoyed vacationing and dearly loved his cat "Lucky".
John is preceded in death by his parents and a son, James Baxter.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to FOTAS of Aiken, P.O. Box 2207, Aiken, SC 29802
