Herman Reeves Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Mr. Herman Andrew "Andy" Reeves, 72, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with Johnny Newton and Bill Gallman speaking. The family will receive friends after the service. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be John Bradley, Bill Gallman, Danny Ferguson, Troy Nobles, Bill Burkhalter and Al Lown.
Andy was born in Augusta, GA, a son of the late Herman and Inez Newton Reeves Duncan. He served in the US Army, and was a resident of Aiken for over 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion, and the Civil Air Patrol.
Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was "Papa" to everyone. He loved all sports, especially golf. Playing golf was his passion. He also enjoyed playing tennis.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Thomas Reeves; a daughter, Michelle Reeves Rogers, Aiken; a son, Chris (Stephanie) Reeves, Durham, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Reeves, Amanda Rogers, Renee Reeves, Celeste Reeves, Josiah Reeves, Eliana Reeves and Camille Reeves; two great grandchildren, Anndee Lewis and Kensleigh Rogers; step sisters, Karen Sides, Aiken, Lindy Canseler, Aiken.
In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
