WAGENER - Visitation for Mrs. Gwen Mauldin Carey, 83, will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Parrish Hall of Wagener United Methodist Church. The Service to Celebrate Mrs. Gwen's life will be 3 pm Sunday in the church sanctuary. Burial will be private. Full obituary and condolences are available at www.blizzardfuneralhome.com.

Gwen was one of my best friends in elementary and high school and although we didn't live near each other in our adult years, I still considered her as a dear friend. The world is a lesser place without Gwen in it.

My heart is so sad to hear of the death of my friend, Gwen. Although we hadn't seen each other for a long time, I loved her. She and I were friends as girls in elementary and high school and I treasure the memory of those times we spent together.
Mike, Mark and Melody and your families, please know my husband, Jim, and I are sending you our love and join you in mourning the loss of a dear soul.
