GRANITEVILLE - Ms. Geraldine Day Beck, age 78, of Graniteville, S.C., daughter of the late Ollie Preston Day and the late Mae Day Day, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 28, 2017. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Baker of Graniteville, S.C.; sisters, Arlie (Ross) Toole and Judy Fulghum both of Warrenville, S.C.; sister in law, Barbara Senterfeit; grandchildren, Alex (Kristine) Baker and Paige Baker; great grandchildren, Brenson Baker, Annabelle Baker and Kaia Johnson; a special nephew, Brad Fulghum, who referred to her as Granny; like a sister to her, Linda Day and several nieces and nephews. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a dedicated member of Pine Forrest Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Day and a sister, Carolyn Seeby. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ supremely. Next to her Lord came her family, especially her grandchildren, who she loved with all of her heart, and they in turn loved her. She always put everyone's needs first in her life, and she would do anything she could to help anybody. A person of her caliber shall be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched during the 78 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Earth's loss is truly Heaven's gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, August 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing will be held at Pine Forrest Baptist Church in Warrenville, S.C. on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ron Doss officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Pallbearers will be Bubba Baker, Ron Lamberth, Brad Fulghum, Pete Day, Jerry Hatcher and Larry Boyd.
