Danielle Gilbert Obituary

Danielle L. Robson Gilbert, age 46, passed away peacefully at her residence, with family by her side on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, after a heroic 4 year battle with cancer.

Dani lives on through her husband John Gilbert; son Christopher; daughter Kaili Mallett (spouse Timothy); her parents, Virginia Rhodes-Woodmancy and Daniel D. Robson; and siblings, Daniel D. Robson, Jr. (spouse Shelley) and J. Jeremy Robson (spouse Kristin); her paternal grandfather, Richard Robson (spouse Betty).

She is also survived by her stepchildren, Bryan, Michael, Brandon Gilbert and Andrea Brown (spouse Donny).

Dani is preceded in death by her beloved grandmothers: Genevra (maternal) and Harriet (paternal); her grandpa Lloyd (maternal); and her aunts Cynthia and Sylvia (maternal); and her stepdad David Woodmancy.

Danielle carried a special spirit and lit up the room with her beautiful smile wherever she went. Her moto was LIVLIF as stated on her license plate. In memory of her heroic fight to beat cancer, her nephew Jeffrey Robson is riding 4000 miles across America with dozens of bicyclist called 4k for Cancer.

There will be a memorial service held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Colony Chapel, 9475 East Colony Way, Palmer, AK, at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 5th 2014. All are welcome to attend and help us celebrate her remarkable life and how Dani has graced our lives.

Life will never be the same. I am just so grateful that I was chosen to be Danielle's mom and later, her friend. Love you forever, love you for always. As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

I hadn't seen Danielle in a long time, but she was one of my best friends in high school and I've thought about her often through the years. She was a good person with a powerful sense of fun!
