Cedric Johnson Obituary
AIKEN - Our beloved father, Mr. Cedric Daniell Johnson, 45, departed this life Monday July 20, 2020 in Madison, Wisconsin. Cedric was born in Aiken County on January 11, 1975 to the son of Isaac Johnson Sr. and the late Shirley Mae Tyler Johnson. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Johnson Lee.
He joined the Hayden Baptist Church at an early age. Cedric was a well-known athlete in basketball, baseball, and football. He brought Aiken High School Class AAAA Division title in 1992, the state championship title 28 years ago. He attended North Carolina AT&T University and served in the U.S. Navy force.
To cherish his legacy, he leaves behind his two daughters Lakaila and Ahnya Johnson of Graniteville SC; two brothers, Isaac (Verta) Johnson, Aiken, SC and Randy Johnson, Augusta, GA; one brother-in-law Ruben Lee, Aiken, SC; nephews: Jermarquis (Sherri) Johnson, Isaac III, Jamar, Jaylan, Dexter and Altemus Johnson; nieces: Shanice and Shakela Lee; 5 great nephews, 4 great nieces and a host of Aunts, Uncles, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held 6:00 PM on Thursday July 30, 2020 at the Aiken High School Football field. The family requests that masks are to be worn and social distance to be observed by the CDC guidelines. Private burial will be at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia SC.

My condolences to the Johnson family. I first met Ced when his mother use to keep my sister and I when my mother had to work her shifts. We had some good times and played hard as kids. Ced was very competitive and and help cultivate and fuel my competitive spirit as well. He will be missed and my heart goes out to his family.

My condolences and deepest sympathy to the Johnson family. May the memories you have of Cedric, and the love of friends and family carry you through your grief during this sorrowful time. I remember Cedric best as a child and teenager, especially when he played football. He was an awesome football player and will be missed by many.
