Cecil Hatcher Obituary

Mr. Cecil Bernard "C.B." Hatcher, 83, of North Augusta, SC, entered into rest peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025, while in the comfort of his home.
Born in Augusta, GA, the son of the late Francis "Frank" Hatcher and the late Mary Hill Randall, he spent his youth in Savannah, GA. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Submariner.
Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, where he earned the rank of E-5, he made the CSRA his home. C.B. retired from BellSouth after over thirty years of service.
C.B., an avid golfer, was a longtime member of the Midland Valley Golf Club, where he could often he found in a Dogfight. You did not have to look hard to see him on a Monday night. He could be found enjoying a "card game" with the boys. C.B. had a passion for "hitting the greens" and a good "card game".
A proud Submariner, he was a member of the Aiken Submariners.
C. B. is survived by a son, Jeffrey Keith "Jeff" Hatcher, his longtime dear friend and caregiver, Mary Ann Harley, siblings, Bobby (Kim) Randall and Johnny Randall, dear friends who he thought of as sons, Bobby Hays and Rich Hays, as well as his golf and "card game" buddies. He left a lasting impression on those he encountered.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Anita Hatcher and Frances "Frankie" Solomon.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Sunday afternoon, November 30, 2025, from 1 until 5 o'clock at the Sweetwater Community Center, 296 Sweetwater Rd., North Augusta, SC 29860. Please be sure to bring your favorite C.B. memories. A United States Navy Honor Guard will render Veterans Honors.
