Barbara Wallenzine Obituary

Mrs. Barbara Ann Wallenzine, 65, of North Augusta, SC, entered into the loving arms of her Savior on Monday, March 30, 2026 while in the comfort of her home with her husband of 41 years, Jason, at her bedside.

Born in Augusta, GA, she moved to North Augusta in 1985. She was a graduate of Richmond Academy and went on to retire from the Purchasing Department of the Medical College of Georgia after thirty-five years.

Aside from her husband Jason 'Jay', she is survived by her children Melissa (Chad) McGuire and Jason (Emily) Wallenzine II, and 7 grandchildren: Andrew McGuire, Olivia McGuire, Eliza McGuire, Levi Wallenzine, Wyatt Wallenzine, Roman Wallenzine, and Corbin Wallenzine. She is also survived by her brother David (Ann) Jones and her sister Marsha Faye (Tim) Tonn.

She was preceded in death by her mother Hattie Mae (Taylor) Jones, her father Stanley Jones, and her sister Cecilia Creighton.

Barbara was known for having a "green thumb" and enjoyed trips to the Smoky Mountains. However, most of all she cherished time with her family. When looking at her grandchildren she would frequently quote the 23rd Psalm and exclaim that her "cup runneth over!"

Interment will take place at West View Cemetery in Augusta, GA. Considering her courageous battle with cancer, memorials in honor of Barbara may be made to the American Cancer Society. (www.cancer.org)
