Arlene Bulfinch Ray
Aiken - Arlene Bulfinch Ray, 65, was called home to the Lord at two in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 29th, 2020. Arlene was born in Atlanta, GA on June 4th, 1955, to the late Robert and Margaret Phyllis Bulfinch. She has called Aiken her home most of her life, accompanied by her late husband of 46 years, Kenneth E. Ray.
Arlene is survived by her loving daughters, Dr. Jennifer Kerri (Greg) Ray-Baughman of Aiken, SC and Dr. Lauren Michelle (Christopher)Ray-McCarley and one grandson Liam Oliver McCarley of Aiken, SC. She has four brothers, Lanny (Debra), Colin (Deborah), Geoff (Louise), Clyde (Lynn), and the late Paul Bulfinch and two sisters Jan (Tex) Ritter and Margaret Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arlene was a member of Aiken First Baptist Church. She retired from Westinghouse as an Environmental Lab Technician. She loved raising her two daughters and living on the farm tending to her horses, dogs and cats. She enjoyed going on vacation with her family. Her most recent enjoyment was spending time with her new grandson.
A Graveside Funeral service will be held at Southlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum at 4524 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803 at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon, January 3rd, 2021 for family and friends with Reverend Henry Chenault officiating. Pallbearers will be Walter Ray, Jonathan Ray, Robert Bulfinch, Christopher Hooks, Marc Widener, and Jared Woodruff.
