Mary Busbee Obituary
Mary was born in Aiken County on December 14, 1943 to the late Maggie and Hubert Barton.
Mary was a hard worker and a devoted Christian. She worked at United Merchants for numerous years, and for the Aiken County School District for 12 years. She was a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church for over 30 years and loved to fellowship with others. Mary loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an excellent cook- her Red Velvet cake being a family favorite. In her free time she also enjoyed working in her flower beds. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family and friends will miss her deeply.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Mr. Bobby E. Busbee.
Left to cherish her memory along with her son Gary Busbee and his wife Lisa are her grandchildren Ashley Richardson (John), Tiffany Morris (Lindy), and Elizabeth Randall; her great grandchildren Gauge, Waylon, Adalind, Everly, Ethan, Hannah, and Gemma; as well as sisters Patsy Pierce (Ivan), Lois Floth (Wade), and Kay Ashley (G.W.).
The family will greet friends on Monday, July 1, 2024 beginning at 1 o'clock at Gloverville First Baptist Church, 2212 Augusta Road, Gloverville, SC 29829. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2 o'clock with Pastor Joe Youngblood officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery. Pallbearers will include John Richardson, Lindy Morris, G.W. Ashley, Wade Floth, Kevin Floth, Rusty Norris, Tim Snellings, and Tyler Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mary may be made to Gloverville First Baptist Church.
