Willie married Mary "Kathy" Roberts-Golden on March 6, 1988. He had three children and gained a bonus son, Uriah Golden. He enjoyed a successful career in the oil transportation industry, working first as a mechanic and moving up to being the general manager for Western Crude Oil. He later retired as general manager for Total Petroleum Oil and Gas.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Uriah Golden. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Shelly (Donald) Cook; sons, Doug (Wendi) Brown and William (Crissy) Brown, Jr.; grandchildren, Amber Desta, Ashley Cook, Adam Cook and Brittany Lund; and great-grandchildren, Izaha, Chelsea, Elijah, Eva, Willow and Whitlee.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams is Wednesday, 9am-8pm with family present from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Willie had a big heart and a great sense of humor. I still tell some of his jokes and his on demand advice to family and friends. He was very smart and a natural mechanical engineer.
RIP Willie.
