Sharon G. "Sherry" Sherret, 72, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Christopher Alexander and the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Sherret was born November 24, 1951, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late James Aubrey & Evelyn Dorminy Griffin. She worked for Y & W Sportswear and also worked in the cafeteria at Ben Hill Primary School. She enjoyed sculpting and arts & crafts. She played the guitar, loved to fish, watched reality television, and enjoyed tracing her ancestry. Mrs. Sherret loved her family and her Lord. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lendon Sherret of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Cindy Hutcheson of Fitzgerald; a granddaughter, Amanda Boydston; two sisters: Brenda Horne of Fitzgerald and Jean Foster of Hickory, North Carolina; as well as five nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
