Robert Bogart Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dial-Murray Funeral Home - Moncks Corner on Dec. 26, 2025.
Robert Vincent "Bogie" Bogart, 68, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday evening. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Robert leaves behind a legacy of hard work, leadership, and love for life.

Born on September 18, 1957, in Goshen, New York, Robert was the son of Christopher Sayles Bogart and Marie Engelbrecht Bogart. He was a proud graduate of Minisink Valley High School in Slate Hill, NY, and continued his education at Charleston Southern, where he earned his associate's degree. At just 19 years old, Robert began his long and accomplished career with Balchem Corp., starting on the docks and working his way up to become Director of Sales. His dedication and strong work ethic were evident to all who knew him, and in a pivotal move at age 42, Robert relocated to South Carolina with the company, further advancing his career and personal growth.

Robert's life was filled with many passions. He was a proud member and former president of the Berkeley Country Club, where he enjoyed countless rounds of golf as an avid player. His adventurous spirit led him and his wife, Janet, on many travels in their RV, with Hilton Head being a cherished destination. He delighted in dining out, visiting his family in New York, and cheering for college football and the New York Jets. Robert's presence and enthusiasm made every gathering memorable, and his love for his family was always at the forefront. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, Steven, Jimmy, and George Bogart.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Frechette Bogart; his three daughters, Marissa Warren and her husband Brad, and Holli Singh and her husband Maha, all of Goshen, NY, and Alexis Meikle and her husband Ryan of Albany, NY; his son Christopher Bogart and his wife Mackenzie of Matamoras, PA; and his stepson, Jimmy Cate and his wife Ann Marie of Summerville. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Bogart of Miami, FL; two brothers, Christopher Bogart and his wife Kathy of Luray, VA, and Kenneth Bogart and his wife Sandra of Phoenix, AZ; and twelve treasured grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Funeral arrangements are currently incomplete and will be announced by Dial-Murray Funeral Home in Moncks Corner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in his honor to the Berkeley Country Club, PO Box 397, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, in order to facilitate capital improvements.

Robert V. "Bogie" Bogart's legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
