Michael Abboud Obituary

Michael "Mike" S Abboud, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 20, 1939, in Kousba, Lebanon, Mike was the son of the late Siad and Rose Abboud. He first traveled to York, Pennsylvania in the 1960s to visit his sister, and returned again in 1972-this time choosing to make it his home, where he built a life and raised his family.

Mike was a devoted father, grandfather, and family man who found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved. Despite building a life in the United States, he remained deeply connected to his roots, traveling to Lebanon each year to spend time with family there.

A man of many talents, Mike began his career as a tailor before becoming a successful business owner, opening hair salons and later transitioning into building and remodeling homes.

Mike was also a proud Master Mason of Empire Lodge No. 5 under The New York Grand Lodge.

He will be remembered as a larger-than-life presence and a gifted storyteller who could light up any room he entered.

He is survived by his former wife, Vivienne McIlvain; his sons, Raymond Abboud and Thomas Abboud; his granddaughters, Rayna Abboud and Milana Guiffrieda of York, PA; his sister, Georgette of Australia; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Antoun, and Elias Abboud, and his sisters, Mary and Katia.

A celebration of life will be held at Primo Pizza, 1425 N Sherman St., York, PA 17406, on April 19, 2026, from 2:00PM to 5:00PM.
