Princeton - Millie Julia "Judy" McClure, 78, of
Princeton, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at Liberty Village of Princeton, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.
Judy was born on April 13, 1947, in her parents' home in
Secor, Illinois, to Delmar and Millie Mae (Elkin) Graybill. Raised with strong faith and simple values, she attended school in El Paso, Illinois. From an early age, Judy carried within her a creative spirit and a servant's heart-qualities that would define her life.
On a joyful day at the Eureka, Illinois Courthouse, she married the love of her life, Charles Eugene McClure. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, faith, and unwavering devotion. As a homemaker, Judy poured her heart into caring for her family. She found her greatest purpose in nurturing those she loved and creating a home that was always open and welcoming.
Judy was a faithful member of Hampshire Colony Church in Princeton, where her love for the Lord shone brightly. She taught youth art classes, sharing not only her talent for acrylic painting but also her gentle encouragement and kind spirit. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She found joy in serving the Lord, attending church groups with friends, and living out her beliefs through kindness and compassion.
A gifted artist and passionate gardener, Judy found beauty in the world around her and brought that beauty to life through her paintings and flower beds. She loved baking for her family, playing cards with her grandchildren, and spending treasured time together. Nothing made her smile more than the laughter of her grandkids and great-grandkids, each of whom she loved dearly.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Charles McClure of
Princeton, IL; her three sons, Samuel McClure of
Princeton, IL; Charles M. McClure of
Princeton, IL; and David (Holly) McClure of Carlock, IL. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Brittany (McClure) Steele, Matthew McClure, Samuel McClure, Kelsi (McClure) Mendez, Keegan McClure, Kavin McClure, and Cora McClure, and a deeply loving great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Millie Mae Graybill; her father- and mother-in-law; her sister, Candy Hartman of
Secor, IL; her brother, Jack Graybill of Normal, IL; her brothers-in-law, Jerry McClure and Gerald McClure; and her sister-in-law, Carol (McClure) Purcell.
Judy's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, creativity, and love. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the steady devotion she gave to her family and her Lord. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the faith she shared, and the love she so freely gave.
