Jimmie Shelton Obituary
Jimmie Ann was born May 3, 1943, to Melba Culp Fenton and D.O. Fenton Jr. in De Queen, AR. She enjoyed going to church and worshipping God, spending time with her family, working in the yard, quilting, and cooking. She cherished her time spent outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Shelton, her parents, D.O. Fenton and Melba Van Voast; sister, Nelda Kyger; and step-father, Philip Van Voast.
She is survived by her children, Kim Carver (Todd) of Lockesburg, AR, Debbie Berold of Ashdown, AR, Teresa McDougal (James) of Ashdown, Terry Simmons of De Queen; her brother, David Fenton (Anna) of Montgomery, TX; her stepsister, Phyllis Barrington (Marvin); nine grandchildren, Cicyli Bearden (Justin), Lee Carver (Camillia), Brandi Wilson (Matt), Austin Turner (Emily), Brittni Thornton (Jonathan), Alex Turner (Hannah), Lexi Simmons, Cade Simmons and Shayne Henry Simmons; twelve great grandchildren, Masea Billingsley, Isaac Brown, Trayton and Emma Carver, Asher, Raela Kay, Slade, Lawson and Trey Turner, Gunnar Altenbaumer (Kylie), Gaige, Theron and Thane Wilson; one great-great grandchild, Kentyn Billingsley; a special friend, Earl Pepper; a number of nieces, nephews, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, and two step-sons and their families.
Funeral services for Jimmie Ann will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Tatum, Charles Shelton, Roger Shelton, and Larry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Cemetery in the Goodwater Community.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 9th, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Lee Carver, Austin Turner, Alex Turner, Cade Simmons, Shayne Henry Simmons, Trayton Carver, Gunnar Altenbaumer, and Gaige Wilson.
Honorary Pallbearers: Greg Sharp, Roger Shelton, Charles Shelton, Larry Shelton, Cy Davis.
