Ashley Aldrich Obituary

Ashley E. Aldrich, 34, tragically passed away on January 23, 2026, following a brief illness.

She was predeceased by her father, Leonard Aldrich; her paternal grandparents; and her uncle, Keith.

Ashley is survived by her beloved children, Shawn and Jaylynn, who were truly the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. Everything Ashley did was guided by her love for them. She is also survived by her mother, Candace; her maternal grandparents, Deborah (Bill) Russin and George Russin; her three brothers, Kenneth (Robin) Aldrich, Nicholas Aldrich, and Joseph (Carly) Aldrich; her aunt and uncle, Heather (Mike) Williams and Rob (Kristin) Russin; along with her extended family, her several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is further survived by her special friends, Sue and Noel, and her two cherished dogs, Maisey and Daisy.

Above all else, Ashley was a devoted and loving mother. She poured her heart into raising her children and never missed an opportunity to support, encourage, and care for them. Her kindness extended beyond her home into her work, where she spent 10 years as a teacher's aide at Chenango Forks Elementary School, forming meaningful bonds with the children she served. Most recently, Ashley began a new role as a 911 Dispatcher with Broome County Emergency Services, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Chenango Fire Department for their quick response and compassionate efforts.

Ashley will be forever remembered for her selfless love, especially for her children, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Barber Memorial Home, 428 Main Street, Johnson City, at 3:00 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
