William Whitacre Obituary

William Charles Whitacre III ("Billy"), 47, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away suddenly on August 4, 2025. Billy was born on August 19, 1977, in Alliance, OH. He is survived by his father, William Charles Whitacre Jr.,(Stacey) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his son, William Chase Whitacre (Skylar) of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Sebastian Whitacre; and sisters, Jennifer DeRuyter (Monty) of Lisbon, OH, and Angela Mason of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by his nephew, Jacob Mason; nieces, Jordan Mason, Katy Beaty (Zach), Kelsey Anderson (Johnny), and Kaley Anderson; and great-nephew, Beau Beaty. Billy was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Gracie Milan Whitacre of Myrtle Beach, SC, and his mother, Katherine Virginia Whitacre of Salem, OH. Billy's life will be celebrated privately by his family. To carry forward his memory, the family invites donations to the SAFE Project (Stop Addiction Fatality Epidemic), an organization dedicated to awareness, education, and support for families impacted by substance use. https://www.safeproject.us/memorial/ Cremation Services Direct (843-651-1194) is serving the family.
