Wanda Johnson Obituary

Conway Wanda Faye Floyd Johnson, age 67, wife of Marvin Barry Johnson passed away Monday, June 9, 2025.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Conway, a daughter of the late H.G. and Gloria Lumina Causey Floyd and was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was a life long member of Conway Church of God. Prior to retirement, she was employed by AVX for 34 years and had also been employed by Black Water Middle School cafeteria. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed working in the school cafeteria, making sure every child that came through the lunch line had plenty to eat and received a smile from her. She enjoyed the outdoors and working in her yard. Mrs. Johnson also enjoyed gardening and planting flowers was her hobby. She was the ROCK of the family and family traditions and gatherings were important to her. Mrs. Johnson was the one who kept all of the family together and carried out all the traditions. Throughout her battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia she never wavered in her faith in Jesus, her daily scripture was Ezekiel 16:6 and she always said "Every day is a good day." In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother in law, Danny Baker.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Conway are: one son, Randy Jacobs, Jr. (Jessica Love) of Conway, SC; one daughter, Tonya Morris (Allen "Doodle" Morris) of Conway, SC; five grandchildren, Drake Morris (Morgan), Lane Morris (Ellie Howle), Mykayla Jacobs, Hailee Grace Jacobs, and Breann Jacobs; two brothers, Harold Floyd (Tammy) and Ray Floyd (Marie), all of Conway, SC; one sister, Teresa Baker of Conway, SC; one step son, Jeremy Johnson; two step daughters, Tonya Evans and Kim Johnson; eight step grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and her furbaby, Tucker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday from Conway Church of God with Rev. Eddie Larrimore officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Dr. Patel and the nursing staff of Coastal Cancer Center, the Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC, and the nursing staff at Conway Medical Center Critical Care Unit.
