Timothy Fuqua Obituary

Timothy David Fuqua, 73, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away June 22,2025. Born on September 29, 1951, in Alexandria, Virginia, Timmy was the son of the late Margaret Louise and Roy Lee Fuqua. Timmy dedicated 35 years of his life to public service, working in the United States Senate Sergeant at Arms Office of Printing, Graphics and Direct Mail from 1979 until his retirement in 2014. He was a familiar and valued presence in his workplace, a testament to his dedication and commitment. Beyond his professional life, he found immense joy in being by the water, a passion that fueled his love for fishing and boating. Later in life, he traded his boat for the open road, finding new adventures on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He cherished the camaraderie of riding with friends, embarking on countless trips that took them across the East Coast and Southern states. More than anything, Timmy was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Fuqua, and their children, Joseph Fuqua and Shannon Fuqua-Trott, all residing in Little River, SC. He was a proud grandfather to Jason Trott of Fort Worth, Texas, and Zane and Shane Fuqua of Wilmington, North Carolina. Timmy also leaves behind his brother, Gregory L. Fuqua of Baltimore, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael L." Mike" Fuqua of Fletcher, North Carolina. Timmy was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and a cherished friend to many. His presence will be deeply missed, and he will be lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Fuqua is entrusted to Kelvin F.
