Thomas Jaccoud Obituary
Jaccoud, Thomas "Tommy", 77, passed away peacefully in his home in Little River, SC, on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025.
Tommy was born on February 4th, 1948, in New Brunswick City, New Jersey. Son of the late Edward "Bob" and Marguerite "Peg" Jaccoud. He spent most of his life in Princeton, NJ, and then moved to Little River, SC, in 2018. He proudly served the United States Navy for four years and retired after 25 years of employment with Princeton University.
Tommy was an active and devoted member of his community, always ready with a helping hand and a kind word for everyone he met. A proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), he cherished the friendships and camaraderie he built there. Tommy also had a deep passion for classic cars, spending countless weekends at shows where he proudly displayed his 1937 Ford Coupe Street Rod, and enjoyed sharing stories with fellow enthusiasts. Known as a loyal friend to all, Tommy's warmth, generosity, and humor will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Tommy was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jo-Ann Jaccoud, and his son, Thomas "Tom" Jaccoud II. He is survived by his step-daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Anthony Renda; his son and daughter-in-law Karl and Sheila Jaccoud; brother Rich Jaccoud; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Jim Coletta; eight grandchildren, Bryan and Lauryn Renda, John, Thomas, Angelina, Deven, Charles, and Casey Jaccoud; nieces and nephews Molly D'Alessio, James and Caitlyn Coletta, Claire and Tom Gillespie, Lisa and Joe Pierce, Courtney and Rob Rivière, and Kelsey and Dylan Robbins. He leaves behind his companion, Nancy Dellacroce, and he will be missed by his treasured pup, Belle.
A memorial service to honor Tommy's life will be held on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at VFW Post 10804, 111 State Highway 57 N, Little River, SC 29566. The family will also hold a service in New Jersey at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tommy's name would be appreciated to Empowering Pawz Inc. Rescue.
