Theresa DeNardo Obituary

Theresa Lyn "Teri" DeNardo of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on February 16, 2026.

Teri was a devoted mother to Danielle, Samantha, Krista, and Ali, and a loving mother-in-law to Richard, Jason, Jackie, and Scott. She was a proud grandmother to Hudson, Jameson, Bella, Olivia, Charity, and Cameron. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominick J. Auditore and Marguerite (Grape) Auditore, her sister Peggy Dempsey, and her beloved nephew Chris Devine, whom she loved like a son.

Teri grew up in Gerritsen Beach, New York, alongside her sisters Pat, Rosemary, Donna, and Peggy, and her brother Joe. She loved family holidays at Rosemary's house, where she made the best stuffed artichokes and shared laughter and joy. She loved the beach, her VW Bug, Aruba, and always showcased the best organizational skills.

Teri shared a beautiful love story with her husband, Jeffrey. They met on a blind date - a story she loved to tell - and built a life together that carried them from New York to New Jersey and finally to South Carolina, sharing 32 years of marriage. Their partnership was full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Teri dedicated her life to nursing, beginning as an LPN and later serving 40 years as an RN, many of those in the Operating Room on the transplant team. All four daughters followed in her footsteps, a legacy that filled her with pride. She shared a particularly special bond with Danielle as Danielle followed in her path to the OR. Danielle was the pride and joy of Teri's life, and their bond was something she held close to her heart.

She will be remembered for her warmth and genuine interest in others. When she asked what was going on in your life, she truly meant it. She listened with care, offered support without judgement, and made everyone feel valued. Her legacy lives on in her family, the nurses she inspired, and the countless lives she touched with her strength, compassion, and love.

Teri and her family lived next door to us in Gerritsen Beach. Her and Anne Doughty were my first friends. Introduced me to stuffed artichokes when I was only about 9! Did get together once here in Myrtle Beach. Was a lovely afternoon. Regret we didn´t do it more often. God speed Teri. Fly with the Angels!

My deepest and sincerest condolences Jeff, Danielle and to the rest of the family.
Me and Teri met in 1984 at the OR of Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn
NY. I was on orientation and I have no locker to put away my belongings, She offered and shared her locker to me.She´s so kind with her welcoming gesture and her big beautiful smile makes me feel so welcome. We became friends and when she married Jeff we went out together with our husband and always had a great time. When Danielle was born it was the happiest in her life I saw in her. She told me that she and her daughter are like 2 peas in a pod.
There are so many happy treasure memories I have of her.My heart feels heavy of her passing.
Rest in peace my dear friend Teri, you will be in my heart.
I love you... Alma

I met Teri walking to school one day and we were instant friends. Both of us became Nurses and I was so proud Teri took her career to working in the Operating Room in NYC on a transplant Team. She was articulate in every thing she did. I will miss her.
