Terence Eugene Drummond
August 8, 1955 – May 12, 2025
Myrtle Beach, SC – Terence "Terry" Drummond, age 69, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend, Terry leaves behind a legacy of service, integrity, and compassion. He was the beloved husband of Robin Drummond, with whom he shared 30 wonderful years of marriage.
Terry's career was marked by a passion for excellence and a deep commitment to others. As an ASE-certified automotive technician at Uzzle Chevrolet in Durham, NC, he earned Cadillac's prestigious World Class Technician Award. He went on to inspire future generations as an educator at Southern Durham High School, Durham Technical College and Alamance-Burlington School System in Mebane and at CTEC (Career Technical Education Center). His leadership extended to helping craft legislation for automotive accreditation-leaving a lasting imprint on the industry as well as the students and faculty.
An entrepreneur at heart, Terry founded and operated Quality Plus TPS, his own accounting firm. Beyond his professional life, he found joy in golf, fishing, and competitive pool-taught clogging, enjoyed square dancing and always brought his signature spirit and humor.
Born in Warren, Ohio, on August 8, 1955, Terry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Iva Jane and Ronald Eugene Drummond.
He is survived by:His wife: Robin Drummond of Myrtle Beach, SC; His sister and brother-in-law: Linda and David Dziedzic, and three nieces His children: Charlotte Hayden (Warren, OH) and Tim Drummond and fiancé Amanda Kay (Cortland, OH); His stepchildren: Angel Davis (Rehoboth Beach, DE), Aric Hoffman and wife Jennifer Hoffman (Wake Forest, NC), and Penny Morrison (Hermitage, PA); Grandchildren and great-grandchildren: 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought light and pride to his life Terry was deeply admired for his unwavering faith, sharp intellect, generous spirit, and steadfast devotion to his loved ones. His commitment to the Lord was evident through active service in his church community, including serving on the boards of several congregations and participating in mission trips. His presence enriched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
