Sue Stacy Obituary

Sue Carolyn Horton Mackey Stacy, 89, of Conway, SC., passed away Saturday September 20, 2025 at her residence following an illness. Sue was born in Kershaw, SC., a daughter of the late James Coleman and Iva Mae Hunter Horton. She was a faithful member of Homewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Rev. Bobby Judson Mackey and by her second husband, Estel Stacy, brother, James Douglas Horton and a sister, Dorothy Williams. Surviving are her children, Bobby Dennis Mackey and his wife, Jane Mackey and Marilyn Renee Mackey Hyman and her husband, Chris Hyman; grandchildren, Jonathan Hyman, Jeremy Hyman, Katie Hyman, Chad Mackey and Josh Mackey; Ten great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Libby Horton. Memorials may be made to Homewood Baptist Church Building Fund, 3296 Hwy 319 East, Conway, SC 29526. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Doctors and staff with Crescent Hospice for their kind and caring support during this difficult time. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in Hillcrest Cemetery, with Rev. Edgar Horton her nephew officiating. Burial will follow, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
