Sally Rotondo Obituary

Sally W. Rotondo, 70 of Briarcliffe Acres went to be with our Savior on July 13, 2025, in comfort and surrounded by her loving husband, Paul and her equally loving daughter, Eileen. Sally was born on May 9, 1955, to Samuel M. Wagner and Viola Wagner of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. She and her family attended St. James Lutheran Church, located in Huntingdon, PA where she sang in the choir with both of her sisters. Sally's faith & steadfast belief in our Lord God carried her through the very toughest of times. Sally's faith was unwavering, a trait that she encouraged and passed on to her daughter. After high school, she was awarded a full scholarship to Gettysburg College for her lovely and powerful choral voice. Sally received her bachelor's degree in business and marketing. She spent many years both in her youth and as an adult in the hospitality industry and "never met a stranger". She excelled at each position, with her amazing work ethic, she climbed the corporate ladder. She settled firmly into her long-term role at Choice Hotels International. Sally earned the role of National Director of Marketing for both the Quality and Clarion brands where she worked for years. Sally retired to Myrtle Beach to be near her daughter, mother, sisters and other members of her family. She was later joined by her husband of 32 years Paul, where they enjoyed a happy and loving life. Sally leaves behind her husband Paul, daughter Eileen (Jeff), granddaughter Allison, sister Suzanne and countless friends. She enjoyed golf, gardening, playing cards and watching sports, especially baseball and lacrosse. She loved sporting events. During football season you could always hear both her happy cheers and her signature "Oh, C'mon" from anywhere in the house. She loved summertime mornings and evenings. You would often find her seated on the porch watching the wildlife in the conservation area located in her backyard. Sally was also a talented decorator whose home was always warm and welcoming. Her sense of humor, love of life and love for her close-knit family were palpable traits. She will be remembered as a strong woman with strong convictions, a wonderful mother, Nana, wife, sister and friend. Sally's Celebration of Life service will be held at the Risen Christ Lutheran Church on Friday, August 1st at 4:00pm. A remembrance gathering will be held at a later time. Flowers are welcome. Donations can be made in Sally's honor to "Old Friends Farm" in Lexington, Kentucky to support one of her greatest loves, a love that she and her daughter shared together, horses. Her spirit and strength will live on through many happy memories, notably her sense of humor, brilliant mind, beautiful smile, and her thoughtful advice. Her love will always remain in our hearts, especially by those lucky enough to have had a place in hers. She is now at rest, seated on a beautiful day enjoying "a snort" of her favorite Kentucky bourbon and enjoying her life eternal. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Sally W.
