Sage Savage Obituary
Sage Savage Conway, SC Polly Sage Savage, 38, died quietly from complications due to a medical procedure she underwent at VCU Hospital in Richmond, Va. The doctors and staff exhausted all efforts to save her. We are thankful for all they did. Sage was a happy, kind and funny young lady who adored her children, Matti and Drake. She enjoyed taking them fishing, to the beach surfing and watching Matti practice cheerleading and Drake play football. Sage was predeceased by her grandfather, Carl "Big Jules" Julius Derrick, who passed January 9, 2015. Surviving are her parents, Rodney and Rhette Derrick Stanley, whose love and support was very important to Sage; children, Matti Jule Savage, and Drake Wayne Savage and their father, Matt Savage; sister, Carley Jule Stanley; and her precious grandmother, Polly Mishoe Derrick. Other family members include her Aunts and Uncles: Julaan Derrick; Dirk (Michelle) Derrick; Merinda (Steve) Luse; Dow (Rebecca) Stanley; Neala Stanley Jones; Melody Smart; Randy Stanley. Her cousins: Ashton Prince and her son, Brody; Dakota (Taylor) Derrick and their son Abel; Peyton Derrick; Jentry Luse; Steven (Amber) Luse and their son, Stevie; Juan Luse; Jennifer (Jerome) Jacobson, and their sons, Benjamin and Eric; Liz Stanley and her daughter, Eden; Julie Stanley (Patrick) Stowe and their children, George, Cora, and Carr; Brittany (Austin) Bischoff and their children; T.J. Jones; Hannah Stanley (Blake) Reavis and their children, McKenzie, Blakely, and Briggs; Judson Stanley. Her special cousins: Judy Brown and Tracey Kite; and special friends, Ryanlee Harrington and Nikki Bessant Hudson. Sage attended church at Advancing the Kingdom and she was very grateful to Pastors Kenneth and Laura Davis for their love and support. The family thanks the entire congregation for their love and support during this difficult time. We are grateful to the amazing "Prayer Warriors" who were lifting Sage and our family up to God during this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in the fellowship hall at Advancing the Kingdom Church, 1672 Hwy. 905, Conway. A Celebration of life will begin immediately following at 1:00 pm, with Laura Davis Officiating. A private family only committal service will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
