Ronald Steck Obituary

Mr. Ronald J. Steck, age 74, of Conway, S.C., passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa., he completed 12 years of Catholic schooling. He earned an Associate's Degree from Temple University after proudly serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from May 1970 until July 1974.

Ron worked at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard as an electrician and as a product specialist at the Philadelphia Naval Depot before retiring in 2010. He enjoyed camping, fishing, card games, and traveling. He will be remembered most for his sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen (nee Cigler), stepson James O'Hara (Kimberly), grandchildren James and Kelly, brother David (Linda), in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Blanche (nee Polec) and Alexander Steck, and 2 sisters, Barbara Duzinski and Virginia Smith.
