Ronald Diamond Obituary
Ronald (Ron) Earl Diamond Jr.,63, passed away on August 6, 2025, at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Ron was born in Euclid, Ohio, on September 21, 1961. He graduated from Maumee High School in Maumee, Ohio, in 1979. Ron began a management studies program at Madonna College in Livonia, Michigan, in 1983, and earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan.
Ron had a kind heart and a gentle spirit. For over twenty years, he worked as a nursing assistant in Northville, Michigan, positively impacting many lives with his care. He later relocated to Conway, South Carolina, to join his parents and to escape the harsh Michigan winters. When his mother, Georgia Diamond, became ill, Ron devoted himself to caring for her. He had a passion for old movies and enjoyed music of various genres, as well as bike riding in the warm Carolina sunshine. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Ron was predeceased by his loving mother, Georgia Diamond (Miller), his uncle and aunt, Bill and Mary Miller, and his uncle, Bill Cockerill.
Ron is survived by his loving father, Ronald Earl Diamond, of Conway, SC; his loving sisters, Donna Diamond Boatfield of Carrollton, TX, Gwen Diamond of Perrysburg, OH, and Peggy (Bob) Bredlow of Conway, SC; his nieces, Whitney (Garrett) Stine and Lindsay Bredlow; his nephews, Jordan (Kate) Brady, Austin (Sarina) Brady, and Joseph (Sam Young) Boatfield; his uncles, Dick (Jane) Miller of Conway, SC, Fred (Carrie) Miller of Norman, OK, and John Flannery of Rochester, NY; and his aunt, Helen Cockerill of Moorpark, CA., along with several cousins. Additionally, Ron is survived by four great-nieces: Victoria, Daniella, Demi, and Harper.
One of Ron's most treasured blessings came later in life when he met his biological son, Steve Baker of Saginaw, Michigan, for the first time in 2022. Ron was deeply proud of this kind and accomplished young man and profoundly grateful for the time they shared.
A private ceremony for the interment of ashes will be scheduled at Ocean Woods Cemetery in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which will include the following prayer:
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and
wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I
surrender to His will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the
next. Amen.
Ron will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
