Robert Luster Obituary
Robert Luster of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Robert carried with him throughout his life the values of hard work, loyalty, and devotion to family. From 1960 through 1963, Robert proudly served in the United States Army, where he built discipline, resilience, and lifelong respect for service.
In 1962, he married the love of his life, Diane, beginning a 63-year journey together filled with joy, resilience, and unwavering commitment. Their marriage was the foundation of a close-knit family and the source of countless treasured memories.
Robert was the proud father of Scott and Sean and a loving father-in-law to Lissette. He delighted in his role as a grandfather to Andrew and Megan, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his later years. His sisters-Joan, Dolores, Barbra, and Helen-remained an important part of his life, and their enduring bond was a source of strength and comfort.
Robert found his greatest peace at the beach, where the sound of the waves and the salt air brought him both relaxation and happiness. His love of the ocean was matched only by his devotion to his pets, who were cherished companions throughout his life.
Those who knew Robert will remember him as a man of warmth, kindness, and quiet humor. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Robert's life was defined by the things he held most dear: family, faithfulness, and the simple joys of time spent together. His memory will be a lasting blessing to all who were fortunate to know him.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date in Conway, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor his legacy
