Bobby was my cousin who lived in Oakwood Heights Staten Island NY. We had such fun and adventures when the place was filled with giant oak trees. All that changed when the Verrazano bridge was built, no thanks to Robert Moses, which transformed the island into a overdeveloped place that had 10 houses on a block into 100 houses on a block and a nyc garbage landfill so big it was visible from the space station! When his mom died he regretitly had to sell the house to comply with his brother and sister's wishes, which broke his heart. He moved to South Carolina to start a new life. I did not keep in contact with him and would see him at family funerals. That I regret because he was the most fun guy to be with! I am in shock that he is gone and sad that i did not visit him in his new home. I ended up in AZ because NY became unlivable with the high taxes, crime and antigun politics. Bob and Gail were a great couple and I hope she is ok now that he is gone. His mom and pop were my godparents and helped me stay in touch with Jesus and the church. He survived Vietnam because of his #7 draft lottery spot when i had #309,and was never called. God was always with him. I will miss him dearly.
