Robert Jones Obituary

Myrtle Beach……. Robert "Bob" Lloyd Jones, age 87, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Mr. Jones was born in Washington, DC, a son of the late Gurthrie Lloyd Jones and late Eithel Frances Herring Jones. He was a member of Langston Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was a 1979 graduate of NABA University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, earning a Bachelor of Science. He also graduated from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary School of Theology in 1969. He had earned a Certificate of Ordination through the Gospel Ministry of the First Baptist Church in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1969. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Best Jones. Surviving are: his cousins, Bonnie Sue Nieman and Rod Herring, both of New Carlisle, Ohio, Randy Herring (Darlene) and Ray Herring, all of Conway, Roger Herring (Linda), Ralph Herring, and Becky Herring, all of Columbia, SC, Richard Herring, of New Hampshire, Ronald Herring of North Fort Myers, Florida, and Royce Herring (Tracey) of Suwanee, Georgia.
