Ricky Richardson Obituary

Conway, SC Mr. Richard L. "Ricky" Richardson, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 18, 2025 with his loving wife, daughter and son-in-law at his bedside. Born August 31, 1958 in Conway, SC Ricky was the son of the late William Cloninger, who died before Ricky was born, and the late Donald R. Richardson and the late Mary Josephine Hardee Richardson. Ricky was also predeceased by his brother, Ray Richardson. Ricky was the owner of Donald Richardson & Son, Inc. in Conway, a specialty contractor in site work, and was passionately committed to his business. He loved his job and worked tirelessly to provide the best services possible. He even continued to work long hours during his illness, pushing through the exhaustion. He was a Clemson football fanatic and enjoyed riding motorcycles. As much as he poured himself into his business, nothing compared to his love for his family, Donna, Ashton, Wade, Parker, and Charlotte. Ricky is survived by his devoted wife, Donna J. Richardson; his daughter, Ashton R. Allard and her husband Wade and their daughters, Parker Allard and Charlotte Allard, all of Texas; his sisters, Ruth Ann Richardson and Mary Wagner; his father and mother inlaw, Kennith and Jean Johnson, his brother-in-law, Glenn Johnson and his wife Jessie; his sister-in-law, Denise Hardwick and her husband Heath; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 at 4:00PM at Bethany Baptist Church in Loris, SC, officiated by Pastor Robert Lewis. The family will receive friends following the service.
