Ricky Blake Obituary

Conway. Ricky D. Blake, age 68 passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025. Mr. Blake was born in Wilmington, NC, a son of the late Kirby Aaron and Trudy Watts Blake. He was a member of the Conway Kiwanis Club where he served as past president and board member. Mr. Blake was instrumental in introducing new service projects to the club. He had a heart for serving others and had recently received the Distinguished Service Award from the Conway Kiwanis Club. Mr. Blake was a member of Maple Baptist Church and was a former member of the Little Kilsock Hunting Club in Georgetown County. He was the manager of Chapin Company Sporting Goods prior to becoming the manager of the Victory Motel in Myrtle Beach. He was the manager of the motel for 20 years, a motel that his family owned for 30 years. Surviving are: his wife, Pam Harris Blake of Conway; a special aunt, Retha Thompson of Whiteville, NC; and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday from Maple Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Reeves and Dr. Kirk Lawton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
